Went back a save, loaded up the game as Bulgaria. So, how do I add to my war score, or at least take away about ten points from Bulgaria's? Can I do this via console commands or save editing? Tldr the "Peace Conference" mechanic is poorly thought out and broken at the moment. So, the game, thinking Nicaragua is "at war" with Bulgaria, calculates both its current occupation by my troops and its sudden exit from Bulgaria's mini-war at the same time, thinks Bulgaria is winning, and Bulgaria annexes my newly-conquered territory. Bulgaria has not come into contact with Nicaragua and has been "at war" with Nicaragua for less than 48 hours, but they have lost so many troops to the Allies that the "war score" for their war is slightly higher than my own war score for the three days it took to crush Nicaragua. Nicaragua did NOT join WWII, but it DID join a proxy war between Bulgaria (independent, non-faction) and Romania (Allies). Near as I can tell, what has happened is, a day or two prior to defeat, Nicaragua joined the Allies. No Bulgarian has ever even seen Nicaragua. I am not in a faction, I am not allied to Bulgaria, Bulgaria is not in my war. only to discover that Bulgaria was part of the peace conference, and had a higher war-score than I do (by a mere five points). I roflstomped their military in about three days and forced them to capitulate.
I am playing Fascist USA, in a colonial war against Nicaragua. BUT, I've just found myself in a situation where console codes are necessary in order to fix what is, frankly, a massive bug. So I don't usually cheat, and I'm not looking to bitch about how buggy certain features of this game are, given that it's still fairly new.
